Eat Your Greens

From the mouth of babes...

And yes, that's dinner!  Bahaha!!

Baby Art

That's Sharpie on my new couch  (and the dog)!  My girl also similarly decorated all the living room furniture, hardwood floors, and herself!

What's this Mom?

Last weekend My Girl and I stopped at a local coffee shop with "old school" decor.  While we waited for my coffee, we happened to sit next to the same phone my Granny had in her home (when I was a child)!  I had to show My Girl how to dial out, which actually took me a second to remember.  Man have times changed! (Wait...Did I really just say that??)

A future dancer???

My baby girl was watching big Sissy in dance class tonight!  As we peeked around the corner of the dance studio, I quickly realized I would have to hold her tight to keep her from running inside. We held hands as she danced to the beat and tapped her foot like the older girls.
It wasn't long after that I had to snatch her up and hide out in a close by dressing room. I'm sure the teacher was not so pleased with the "cute little distraction" we were making at the door!

Don't forget the beer!

I'm way behind on groceries, so had a ton of items on my list today!  After at least an hour of shopping, hubby sends me a text that says, "Pls get beer and trail mix".  Really?  All these groceries and all you want is beer???  smh

I'm pleased to say he redeemed himself by helping put up ALL the food AND barbecuing the crab legs I bought on the grill!

Holding On...

It amazes me what My Girl sometimes associates with her birth Father since she has no actual memory of him. Today I was cleaning out her dresser and found a shirt with tags still on it.  I threw it into the pile to give away, and she snatched it back immediately.  As she was hugging it tightly, I guess she noticed my obvious look of confusion.  This prompted her to explain she had to keep it because it was a Christmas gift from her Dad.  Even though she'd never wear it, she didn't have the heart to part with it.

It hurts my heart that all she has to hold on to of her Father is a $15 shirt from Gymboree.
