Loved this Mom's Day post!

I loved the post I found while surfing the web earlier today! I was told to stay in my room and drink my morning coffee while hubby gently forced the kids to clean their rooms.  To my surprise, their carpet had re-appeared when they showed off their hard work.

This was my favorite quote from these motherhood truths.  "The bonding is made not by flesh nor blood but by connection, emotions and a sense of unity with another being to whom we feel linked with essential Life."

Happy Mother's Day

My Girl made me a Mother's Day card in Kindergarten today!  She was kind enough to make me 8 years younger, but added 20 pounds.  I think that equals out, don't you?

I'm glad she thinks my favorite thing to do is play with her, which is true most of the time.  I am a little concerned that my favorite thing to drink is winu (a.k.a. wine)!  At least I'm teaching her it is possible to drink in moderation and be a responsible parent.  ;)

Wishing all the Mom's out there a wonderful Mother's Day!

My girl can paint!

With a little help from painting with a twist!

My girl can tap...

...Well kinda! At least she moves her arms and doesn't bite her nails anymore. By the way, I'm not even allowed to come to the recital. Only her sister and brother can watch.

My girl has a love-hate relationship with dance, but is getting more confidant with every practice. I'm just hoping by recital time she will get up on that stage!

Yep!!

To Save or Not to Save?

It's very hard for me to part with pictures the kids color, paintings they give me and papers they make A's on.   I'm constantly switching out the artwork on the fridge & usually toss the old when the little one's aren't looking.  But it's especially hard for me to get rid of My Girls BIG school projects!  For some reason I feel obligated to hold on to anything made on poster board.

Since I don't have room to store numerous poster boards, I've decided to go DIGITAL!  I certainly can't take credit for this idea, but felt compared to share my new storage method.  Today I took pictures of all the BIG projects my kids have done over the years and saved them in a special file for safe keeping.  I also recommend saving ALL pictures on an external hard drive in addition to the computer.  Now I will always be able to look back and see how they have progressed!

My Girl made this poster for school last year, so I thought I'd share her positive message!
